Project Overview:
MEP engineering services were provided for a new four-storey residential block comprising 12 apartments over commercial space. Located in a constrained urban site, the development required efficient service routing and compliance with planning and environmental requirements.
Scope of Work:
MEP design including centralised ASHP for heating and DHW.
MVHR systems in each flat for compliance with Part F.
Electrical design including metering, small power, and LED lighting.
Sustainable drainage strategy coordinated with Thames Water.
Challenges:
Maximising floor-to-ceiling heights within a strict planning envelope.
Integration of low-carbon technologies to meet GLA carbon targets.
Outcome: The project achieved planning approval with strong support for its sustainability strategy. The integrated MEP and Energy solution enabled rapid construction and reduced cost on-site.
